Boards in Bali« on: July 12 2008 09:07:00 »
I'm planning on going to Bali in mid September. I heard from a few people that it is almost better to buy a board while in Bali than sell it back at the end of the trip. With the airline shipping costs these days. Anyone ever buy boards over there?
I'm comming from San Diego. Even if I sell the board back for half what I pay for it, that would probably be easier on my wallet than bringing mine. Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

dude it does not matter if you buy a board out there or in the states........ i have bought lots of boards in bali and brought them home....most airlines dont charge you shipping as long as its within your baggage weight. so the tip is travel light and bring the board home. they used to be cheap in bali but actually now they are the same price. i bought a webber afterburner in OZ and sold it for about $100 loss....... so you can sell boards on the big white steps, just hang out with a sign for a few hours and it will sell. good luck.
