Girls Surfing Bali in May 2009

« on: February 12 2009 20:02:00 »

Hey there,

My partner and i (both female) are heading to Bali in May this year around the second week for 10 days.

I'm  experienced and my partner is a beginner surfer, so we were thinking about spending one/two days around Tuban/Kuta, three days at bingin/uluwatu, two days at Sanur and two/three days at Caangu.

We're easy-going and are keen to meet other girls surfing so if you're planning a surf trip and are interested in meeting up please email, maybe we could organise a small group surf trip together

Besides surfing we are also want to do a bit of shopping, sightseeing etc.. we have both been to bali several times before and are coming from Coogee, Sydney Australia

cheers,
vic :0>

Hey there,

How you going? Just read your post about heading to Bali in May. Sounds awesome.  Well I've just started to learn to surf and totally loving it. I'm planning a holiday for 2 weeks going to Bali and was thinking about going to surf school there.  Ideally I want to go March/April though. I'm going on my own and really want to meet people there that I can surf with. Not sure whether it would work out, cause I'm thinking of staying in one place, either Lombock or Kuta for regular lessons etc because I'm only a beginner.  Still love to hear from your with your plan.  Would you consider going earlier?

Hear from you soon.

the dates we have bookee are departing syd on thursday 30th april to saturday 9th may.
at the moment there is three of us heading over at this time and have all put in these dates for time off work.
you'll definitely meet people as soon as you get there if you haven't been before. the main part of bali around kuta, legian etc is easy to travel to with heaps of cheap accommodation and lots of surf schools

Hey there,

Been surfing in Bali for three years now and met some nice people in the south region. And so I'd say if you wanna spend some days in the south to check uluwatu, padang, bingin, impossibles and dreamland for surfing check this link. I know the local boys who started their own surfschool down there and they're insainly skilled surfers who will not only guide but also give lessons. so check their site. Worth while, I guarantee. Down the road next to padang beach you have some cheap rooms (50.000RP-100.000RP), get yourself a bike or car and cruise around. Good comfortable and cheap place is Padang Padang inn.

Hey girls,

How did you get on with your trip?

I have just been and have spent some time talking with girls about their bali surf experiences for a magazine article.

Seems like there are some really fun breaks for girl surfers of all abilities. Did you find that?

Dreamland Beach Bali - Must go beach for surfer

Dreamland is a beach that surrounding with high hills and big coral reef. This beach has big waves, that why it become one of surfing destination in Bali. According to tourist guide, Dreamland is the only place in Bali that used International law. It means that people can drink alcohol freely and women can topless.
