Bali Destination to suit surf and lifestyle

« on: March 22 2009 21:03:00 »

Hello,
My husband and I are thinking of booking a holiday to Lombok.  He is keen to hit the surf and I am keen for a relaxing Bali holiday.
We are looking at Kuta, Lombok but the reviews I have been reading say how far away from everything (but the surf) it is.
Any suggestions (even different islands) that would suit a keen surfer and his non-surfing wife?
We also like a bit of nightlife - not clubs, more dinner and pubs.
Thanks!

i can relate. try staying in Lombok for a day or two. he surf. u chill n relax. and den base urself to Kuta itself. many surfing spots to discover while u shop, embrace the scenery. nightlife is awesome in Kuta/Legian itself. When he's bored of the waves in kuta, make a day trip n drive up to the many other surf spots in Bali like uluwatu etc. and when sun breaks, head on back to Kuta and immerse urself in the nightlife. dat way u get the best of both worlds.
