Where to go in Bali for beginners and to go after that?

« on: April 07 2009 17:04:00 »

Hello everyone,

I just wonder if anyone have any advice on where to go in Bali to learn how to surf... I will stay for a few months which should result in some skills. Therefore, I hope someone can also guide me where to go (in Bali) after the first 2-4 weeks of surfing?

You have jimbaran bay thats good for learning. the further you go south the more protected it is and smaller.
Try here on big swells.

i dont think you will be able to surf reefbreaks within a few weeks but
maybe have a go at balian and medewi for long lefts.
This will be good for your surfing but try to learn the rules and dont get in the way of good surfers.

You might find a surf guide over there in kuta.
