Surfing safety for a first time surfer in Bali

« on: June 12 2009 16:06:00 »

Hey!

Im going to Bali this summer to surf and relax. This will be my first time surfing and I have some thoughts on surf safety that I was hoping you might be able to help me with.

From what I’ve heard Kuta Beach is the best beach for a beginner in Bali. Is this correct? Are there any risks for a total beginner to learn how to surf there? If so, what should you be cautious of? I should also mention that I don’t have any problems with swimming but is’nt as good with swimming underwater.

Thanks for any help,

yes as a beginner stick to Kuta / Seminiyak, beach breaks are safe, go with a good school, and don't go out when it's big and you should be fine.

F%=¤ the surf, you'll just clog the lineup with more unwanted traffic in the water.. take up hang gliding, or bmx or go carts.. please do us all a favour don't begin. go get some hookers ,coke it up or something
