Indonesia or Costa Rica« on: July 12 2009 01:07:00 »
I've spent about 4 months in Costa Rica and Nicaragua during the past year learning to surf and now I'm looking to spend another couple of months surfing and living cheaply. I want to leave in July or early August.
I'd like to go to Bali and/or Lombok...but is it worth the expense and time of flying all the way to Indonesia instead of heading back to Central America, as I am from the U.S.?
Looking for opinions on 1.)how incredible Indo is compared to Central America (surf, scenery, culture) and 2.)where to go and just post up in one place for cheap living and intermediate surf (Dreamland?)

I've been to both.
IMHO Indo is way better than Central America(safer too), but that's just my opinion.
The question is: why not go to Indo? You've done Central America, do something new. Indo is a totally different expreience.
