best surfing for intermediate level

I'll be in Indonesia for 9 days, landing in Bali.  Which island/s are the best for an intermediate level surfer?  I'm trying to stay away from the crowds.  I was thinking about Lombok or Sumbawa.  I will be working in Sulawesi than I have 9 or 10 days before I leave Bali on August 4th.

Thanks
Craig

RE: best surfing for intermediate level

Lomboks a good option for intermediate surfers(not including deserts), hit and miss with crowds, but easy to get to from Bali.

Sumbawa's waves are generally more heavy, hollow/shallow, August is also a windy month, Lakey peak area is cross shore before lunch at that time of year and crowds are insane.
