Where to leave valuables in Bali

Hello, All: I'm looking at an extended trip to Bali(3-4 mo). What are the options for leaving valuable somewhere safe, other than a hotel/losmen safe. Valuables like: Spare cash, bank cards, copies of passport, small stuff like that.

I have been in Bali 1 million times and never got stolen anything even when leaving everything in my room.
On the other side I have met many who got robber. So difficult to draw a conclusion.
I usually leave all my belongings at hotel reception, but I think you can rent a safety box in a bank. TBC

Pi, I agree w/ what you say for short trips. For a longer stay,
  where I 'm moving around a lot more I would like to have someplace to leave an emergency  reserve
