27 yr old male looking for lefts« on: March 05 2011 20:03:00 »
My work in Surabaya will be ending around mid April, leaving me with roughly 2 months left of my visa. I will be traveling around java, bali, the gilis and lomok for the first few weeks but after that I want to setup at a homestay for the final month and just kick it and surf. Deciding between Lombok and Bali. Any ideas or recommendations? Will require access to beer.
Not looking for huge or super heavy waves. Riding a 6'2 squash tail.

Bukit peninsula is my nightmare (I am regular), I recommend you settle down here : plenty of options as lefthander : world class or easy ones and easier acces to the beer than Lombok. (more Muslim)

It seems like you'd be better able to deiced between Bali and Lombok by hitting each of these places during the first few weeks of traveling. No one knows better than you which you would prefer.
