Hi - after chucking in my day job in Ireland I've decided to uproot to Indo (Bali region firstly). My travelo partner has just had to bail but I still really want to go! Is anybody else on their own and doing the same thing per chance or know of anyone who would help me out a bit on arrival in sept, i.e initiate me to the local line-ups (most importantly) / advise me of a place to stay/avoid initially???

Cheers in advance!

Hi Carla,

Am heading over to Indo from Australia in September also ... if you are set on landing in Bali as first port of call I'd recommend heading straight to Balangan ... it's laid back, mellow and the accomodation is pretty cheap on the beach front ... Balangan is a nice long user friendly left hander that will help orientate you to the water temp and surfing without a wetsuit ... nice!!

Bali is pretty user friendly ... after all you are not the first tourist to go there mate!!

Drop me an hello my friend.

Cheers Steve
