Surfers in Dublin?

Moving to Dublin in January but I don't know anyone that surf there. Anyone have a spare seat in their car? Of course, I'll share the costs.

RE: Surfers in Dublin?

I did a semester abroad in Dublin last year w/board and suit.  I used to take the bus to Ballyshannon and surf the Peak in Bundoran (world class reef break).  You can stay at a hostil right across the street for real cheap. You'll probably run into some other surfers there.  And if there's a solid swell forecast, bring the mini-gun!

RE: Surfers in Dublin?

ya dont really need to fly to donegal, you can get the bus its easier really, theres a bus to ballyshannon then a connectin one to bundoran,it only takes bout 4 hrs, once in bundoran u have the choice of two brilliant waves, tullan strand and the peak.otherwise rent a car adn drive up,maybe check out strandhill in sligo,(under4hr drive),kinda close to bundoran.
