I'm a beginner surfer and would love to know where I could rent from / get a lesson from nearby. I've got the wetsuit, gloves etc but just need the tuition/inspiration with regards the local scene. My nearest spot is Portstewart but I'm close enough to Bondoran to be able to head there when I want. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...!

The donegal adventure center and the bundoran surf school provide lessons. Goggle em. Also I think that Rossnowlagh will be opening a new surf school during this summer

Go see Killian at the Surf 'n' turf in Bondoran.  He's a cool guy who's openned up a surf hostel right across from the peak which is an intermediate/advanced break in Bondoran harbour.  They do beginner surf lessons at a beginner break in the local area.  Cool local guy with lots of local knowledge and experience!!
Cheers,
