Body Boarding in SE Ireland

« on: June 29 2006 01:06:00 »

Hi all,
i'm coming over to Ireland for about 5 weeks in August Sept and would be looking for good breaks to take my body board to in Southern ireland. I'll be based in Cork so anywhere recommended would be good in the south. And i noticed a nice break a few years ago at Ballycotton. Anyone surf this break or reveiwed it.

Garretstown beach is the place to go, it is west of Kinsale, about a 15 minute drive from there.

water is always bloody cold in ireland!! even in the summer most people wear wetsuits! And i would just like to add god bless surf gloves and booties because with out them in winter your fingers and toes don't stand a chance!
