it's fickle - and shallow - you'll know it if you see it - nobody should point out spots like this - it's up to you to look around for new spots to surf - there are lots and lots - many perfect empty barrels to be had for all - until the locations are posted on the net

Take a harbor cruise outside of Kinsale Harbor and the mudflats get tidal bump and swell; it'll break 50 yds. of goopy barrel, but, it only breaks 1-3' then closes; I've heard Blackwater Rivermouth is the real secret, but needs rare s,se. swell!

mini is just around the corner from esky right(heading north, there is a big rock on the platorm),im not sure of swell direction tc but it is fickle.if you dont surf much or bit of a beguinner dont go out and make a show of yourself.dont forget try and go alone no one  likes a car full of tourists, and youll get more waves.and you locals shouldnt be such tossers there are plenty of waves.

Could global please provide an interpreter for the above response by Willy'sbur?- nobody in any local pub could comprehend it no matter how many brews went down; agreed, Kinsale's portmouth has bombin' right on one side and slab right on other side.
