That sounds pretty bloody cold. I'm thinking June ,July. I'm from the south west of oz so a bit of a soft cock when it comes to the cold

you will be alright with out boots but you prob want them for the reefs anyway, as those rocks are sharp.

not too much surf there in summer try north scotland as it never goes flat for too long.
