Ireland Surf Spots March« on: February 14 2009 07:02:00 »
We are making a trip from South African in mid March to stay in Ireland for a couple of weeks - staying in Galway & Dublin. Where are the best surf spots for this time of year and what should one have with them in terms of wetsuits/hoodie/board size etc.?

hi, in march i would say you wont need a hood, though no harm in having one, booties and maybe a 4/3 or 5/3 would probably work ok, you might be cold in a 3mm in that time, obviously the waves are on the west coast, never surfed much around galway so cant tell you about local waves, to the north you have sligo and to the south you have clare which have plenty of breaks, but the whole coast gets swell, www.wannasurf.com will let you know about waves in the area, the facts about the places though dont tend to be too correct
