Best Surf Party town in Ireland?

« on: March 30 2009 16:03:00 »

Hey Guys

Trying to organise a stag weekend for my bro in May and keen to go surfing. Where is good to go? Need a good party town with good waves. Usually surf in Portrush so want somewhere different but not a million miles away. Any suggestions?

Its got to be lahinch in clare i think. It does not have the most reliable surf by a long shot as its nearly always onshore but if you get good surf conditions its awesome. Add to that the fact that its a cool town with alot of bars and i've seen a good few stags and hen nights here in the past. It would be my suggestion

Hey there,

How bout Bundoran...its not too far from where you are, loads of good breaks in the surrounding areas & ammenities in the town are awesome for groups.
Other option Northwest is Sligo, bout 30k from Sligo town there are places like Easkey, Enniscron & plenty of banter to be had.

Enjoy it!!
