Surfing Italy

Aloha,

A couple friends and I are planning a surfing trip/cycling tour of Italy this summer and I'm looking for the best surf spots that are easily accessible by bicyle (which we'll bring by boat or train). Looking for breaks that are good for my beginner friends yet still fun for me. Not too rough, easy going locals, all around fun breaks. Being from Hawaii, I'm hoping to find similar breaks to Oahu's White Plains, or Queen's/Duke's in Waikiki. Simple yet fun waves. I really have no idea what the waves are like in Italy...

We will also need boards, Are there any locals willing to lend some old beaters? Or perhaps groups that wouldn't mind us tagging along? Where are the best and most inexpensive surf shops?

Thanks for all your help! Mahalo nui loa,
Nicole
