RE: any surf near Vicenza or Padova, Italy???« Reply #1 on: September 14 2007 13:09:00 »
i live in venice, and me and my pals go surfing here. season is pring and autumn, even winter, if you do not fear the cold. best spots: punta sabbioni (jesolo), chioggia (attention: water quality is a nightmare!) and lido di venezia. problems: constancy (there is none) and chaotic waves (no sets) and very heavy currents. i use a 6.6 hybrid (egg) board or a 6.1 fish, but have already ordered some larger hybrids and mini malibus for smaller days. i can strongly recommend boards from BUSTER, as they are really specialized in rather crappy conditions and less expert surfers - check out www.buster-surfboards.com... have fun, and mail me for questions or to buy BUSTER boards - i am their italian distributor. best, gary
