RE: Puglia - East coast

Hi Jesse...I live in Vasto, near Pescara, on the Adriatic side. Best conditions with N, NE winds, here on the Adriatic line. Something beautiful even with SE wind. The tipical wave size is abt 1 meter, and we usually use longboards or 7.3, 7.9 boards. With some speciallly goods conditions (abt 2-3 times in a mounth), we can use 6.4 boards. If You go to Brindisi, there is a very large military american community there...BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT THEFTS. Contact me via e-mail, and I will be very happy to help You when here in Italy.

RE: Puglia - East coast

Thanks alot for that. We are staying in Brindisi and i am hoping to do some body boarding as i don't surf yet. I'm really pleased that there are waves there. I'm hoping that if i can hire a board there i won't have to take my board. I will look at the site you suggested. Thanks again. Jesse

RE: Puglia - East coast

Hi, just interested to know how your surfing panned out! I am trying to convince my 4 sons, who surf here on the west coast of Ireland, that there really is surf in Italy.  Any good news for me?

RE: Ceglie messapica

Hi there,
I'm 13 and am a Bodyboarder, I went to Taranto today but I am staying in Ceglie messapica. Is there anywhere in Taranto where there is decent swell? Not massive but good. Is board renting available?
Thanks,
