im moving to italy ( genova) and im desprate 4 a surf, is there any where, where there could be waves close by thats is pretty consistant . and i was wondering what sort of board i should by over there and around what price cheers . cav

If ya desperate for surf why genova.. the med has only wind waves, if ya lucky a small 2-3ft swell that lasts a day.If you come from a place with ocean ground swell you're gonna slit ya wrists.. Check out surfreport.it it'll tell ya all ya need to know, as for boards everyone rides short boards, but the crew who get most of the waves are on mals or mini mals, i guess you ride what your used to riding.. good luck

so varazze and all those places only have wind swells and theres never ever any ground swells . but even if there were how consistent r they (wind/ground)?
