yes they should be the best month in the year for surfing in the NW italy. But you have to look very carefully to meteo forecast because the swell are very quick and short, wind is often on shore and when changes to off shore waves become smaller very fast. you have to think that u can usually have one day surfing small waves before the swell arrive, one or two day of active sea with wind and bigger waves can easily be 2m and then one or two days with waves getting smaller and maybe off shore winds. After the swell can be for days totally flat. Liguria is the region after sardinia with more fetch in front so sometimes we have good and funny waves but you have to run to the beach when there are and take that moment. In liguria spot are mainly reef so they don t suffer much the wind but waves are short and hollow.
