surf in ocho rios« on: December 13 2004 22:12:00 »
i just got back from a cruise to ocho rios, jamaica. there was reef blocking almost all the beaches, but there was surf on the reefs. at some places it was closer in, but it would take some time and a boat to find the right spot, so you wouldnt get slammed on rocks. also, there was a spot right infront of margaritaville restaraunt, that had very small longboard surf. the waves werent much anyway, but the vibe is so cool there, it would be awesome to explore. nowhere to rent boards, and the locals insist it is unsurfable, but, they have never surfed.
