Irago/surf shops

« on: June 11 2004 04:06:00 »

If you go here the surf shops are only open weekends. Keeper is the only shop I know of during the week. Yet, I would recommend bringing your own board for the week as the only ones rented out by Keeper surf shop are the foam tops. If you do not want to look like a kook, but it is a beginner spot, and if you can surf on a foam board with good turns, people will actually respect you and realize you had to rent. I have had the experience. People are friendly, but not much around.

IS there any other surfshops in the area, especially ones that rent real surfboards, not foam tops?  I will be in Nagoya from July 20-August 17.  Is this spot decent?  Also, was communication a problem in the water or at the surfshops?  Thanks

I live in Irago and there arent many places to rent.  If you want to rent a board give me an email and I can get  a good one for you.  Keeper isnt the friendliest guy and adrop in king so we all boycot him!

Me and a friend of mine are shapers here in Brazil and after travelling to Australia and shaping to DHD (Darren Handley Design) Surfboards, we have been authorized by them, I mean we'he got a license to manufacture DHD Surfboards.
Those boards are authentic Autralian DHD Surfboards but shaped in Brazil.
we are intending to open market in Japan once we identify great spots for surfing there.
We need a hand in regards to find surfstores to make contact and introduce our DHD surfboards.
I hope you can help us informing the biggest stores which we could send the boards.

Thanks a lot in advance and regards,

Hey. Wondering if you guys could help me out. I`m planning a trip to Aichi over Golden Week. I`m looking for a place to camp. Anyone know of any campgrounds in the area?

Oh...preferably near the beach. Cheap accomodation would be okay too.
