According to the local foreign population here there's bugger all surf in South Korea - no waves bru.  Although I did speak to a drunk Australian chap in an Irish pub who heard a rumour that there's some break on the North East coast.  Haven't ventured there yet but'll let yo know wot its like if I do.  lemmie know if you find any.

hay there, in korea now, busan gets waves, and jeju, you just need big swells ie storms/tyhpoons. any where on the east coast that gets waves will work during tyhpoon, looking to meet other surfers bodyboarders for some trips for surf.

New surf shop in Pusan called 'Surfers Paradise' right near Hyundae Beach.  They got some boards, and your essentials.

They get good waves down there just not frequently at all.  Without a typhoon lining up perfectly to send up some swell, the place is like a lake.

So anyone know more about Jeju surfing?  Is september/october surfing possible with a wet suit?  I heard the water is a little cold, how is the surf?  any place to rent a board in Jeju during that time of year?
