i am planning on going snow boarding in the north of japan this season and was wondering how difficult it is to get around with a surf board? also where might be a good area to have a look for surf this time of year? thanks for any help..

Ciao, I'm from Japan, living in Italy though..
If you don't like cold water, you can surf near Tokyo, but I think Island in south of japan is much better...

The water is REALLY cold in winter time here. The mountains are awesome for snowboarding, but if you want to surf, the waves are good, I hope you have a really good wetsuit with a hood if you want to surf...
