another new tokyo surfer

Just moved here a few weeks ago and looking to get some surf. Willing to split gas and by driver some beers or even just catch the train. Email me and let me know. Thanks

RE: another new tokyo surfer

I'm gonna be in Tokyo in about a week and half.  I work for a band and of all the times I go to Japan I have never once made it out for a surf.  I unfortunately have like two days off in Tokyo and the rest of the time I am traveling.  SO I know that a lot of things would have to align for there to even be ridable waves.  Anyway, saw your post...any advice you could give me on how to get from Tokyo to train.  ALso I'll have my wetsuit but not a board.  Do you know anyplace I could rent a board from (pref. a shortboard) and possible good spots to check once I'm in Chiba.  Thanks!!!!
