maybe we should form a "save the trout " movement ,Bob ! Then again ,"save the cow "would be a just cause . Personally ,I really feel bad about pulling live carrots out of the ground because I'm hungry ! The whaling debate needs serious ,intelligent input , not populist mindless opinion. If you have ever eaten a bream or tuna or had a steak in your life ,that makes you a hypocrite and totally unhelpfull to a cause that you seem to care about .please reply

Are you suggesting a whale is as significant as a cow or a carrot, pull your head out of your ***, come to think of it, leave it in there !

Would it be fair to say Pat that you're one of the majority that treat the ocean like a toilet & a pantry.. go take your typhoon photos of lovely brown coloured water, we'll all benifit from that..

a few comments from more people who just don't get it ! I am an animal lover-always have been . the danger with whaling is that too much gets them to the piont of possible extinction which is tragic.we need to protect avery species we have ,no matter how small or large ! the problem with you folk is that you seem to think whales are like big teddy bears or something .stop listening to people with hidden agendas ,they only confuse the issue more and nothing gets done to protect the whales ! there is one major problem behind all other problems, and that is over population ! Too many people putting too much strain on the environment. Consuming too much food resource and turning it into uselesspollution .

Being top of the food chain is a great responsibility not aGod given privelige . Since the industrial revolution mankind has failed in this ,failed badly. Regarding the environment, and all things that effect it ,it is political decisions that make the biggest impact and populations can not be blamed for the bad decisions of their leaders. Does any body know what the sustainable level of whale population should be ? Can anybody tell me how much krill will be needed to feed the proper level of whale poulation in our oceans ? does any body know why whales beach themselves ? does anyone here have any helpfull to say ,other than "parotting" what they hear from other people .THINK ! think for yourself , care ,care sincerely about your oceans !
