Anyone surfed the right at Kandooma?« on: July 24 2012 23:07:00 »
Hi all. I'm planning a trip to the Maldives in June 2012 with some non-surfing friends. I really like the idea of paddling off an island resort straight into the line-up. I know Lohis and Pasta Point meet that criteria and are quality breaks but are both lefts. Are there any resorts with a right gander option? What's the right at Kandooma like?

The right at Kandooma is good. Mellow when it's small and pretty heavy on bigger swells. There are tons of other breaks close to the resort with a short boat ride. Kandooma has a couple surf guides that are contractors (not really employees of resort). I can't remember what company they work for to get contact info but sure you could find out by calling the resort.

just realized that Kandooma now "owns" the right. so please stay/surf at the resort and don't surf the other public breaks. leave those for locals and expats
