RE: Paradise Island: any surfing?« Reply #1 on: September 28 2006 12:09:00 »
Hello. I am at Paradise Island right now. There is no surfing at this island. It is a 15 minute boat ride to Jailbreaks and Sultans (R), and Honkys(L) next to Sultans. Pasta Point is a left near Sultan's but, is limited to guests at the Dhonveli resort. I guess they figure they own the ocean as well. If you have 4 or more people it is $35 per person for the boat ride which includes two 3 hours surf trips. If less than 4 people you split the cost of $140 for the boat. I prefer the east side because you can hear the waves crash and look out at the water. However, there is some unfinished buildings in your view as well. Room numbers in the 300 range are a far walk. You can snorkel, swim and watch fish on the west side of the island. Have a great trip!
