Surf In January?? I probably know the answer.

My new wife and I will be honeymooning in January and I am wondering if there is any chance of sneaking in a wave..All that I have read leans towards NOT! But if anyone could perhaps offer some advice on a possible breaking wave then. I would appreciate it.
Cheers!
