October 2011 Honeymoon & Surf Session

« on: October 05 2010 09:10:00 »

From what I've seen there are several resorts that cater to surfers. I am concerned that they are too motel-ish and or try to pack too many people at each resort. I am looking for something that allows me to surf, my future wife can enjoy the spa treatments, and then we can enjoy some fine dining and a relaxing beach scene. Also we are interested in SUP's, kite surfing, snorkeling, fishing (charter and hand-line), and maybe some diving. What are our best options?

Thanks

I think these are my options:
1. dhigu-maldives.anantara
2. baros
3. Chaaya Island Dhonveli Resort
4. FOUR SEASONS RESORT KUDA HURAA
5. HUDHURAN FUSHI ISLAND RESORT

Please reply with your input.

Have done a fair bit of research on this recently. My fiance and I are heading to the Maldives in March for a
similar trip.
We are staying at Hudhuran Fushi and HI Kandooma. Both have waves in close proximity (i.e. no boat transfers required) and are reasonably priced. Organised through the Perfect Wave, they were great. Ask for Rhonda, she is full of good tips about time of year, likely wave conditions, accommodation types etc...
