Maldives in October for an Intermediate level Surfer

Hi All, heading out to maldives on 27th of October til 4 of November, Im pretty competent surfer, and surfed for a long time, but am a bit concerned the surf might be pretty big.

It won't be big in October. You'll probably wish the swell was bigger but the surfari boat crowds should be thinning out by then. All of the breaks near Male' get out of control currents that time of year that get stronger later in the day. If you're planning on surfing jails, sultans, etc you'll need to go for morning sessions.
