Concerning what you said about mauritians dont even surf well, let me tell you that mauritians dont have the chance you guys have in Australia,so for you to criticise its really bad. You have been in mauritius to be able to be a fair juge!...and locals are not that bad,may b you met some ppl who really didnt know how to speak english but most ppl do. At least they are Bi-lingual,and they can manage.Mauritians are awesome ppl,so dont be crual

cheers,
Nick

Thinking of going to Mauritius in the Summer. Don't like the sound of the localism. Are there any spots where an intermediate dad and his 2 intermediate daughters will get good waves without the hassling. Thanks.

Gidday I've briefly checked out info on Mauritius surfing around June to August and havent found much, so anything would help, especially about getting around, consistency, where the best and least uncrowded waves are, tours, boat trips, size of waves, whether I need a gun, wetsuit, best months etc.
I'm coming from the Sunshine Coast in Australia.
Cheers,
Billy

hey here is some info.to get around u can rent a car..or if you are more people you can hire mini buses..the deep south has a bunch of waves which can get quite knarly at times..the west has the best wave , called tamarin. it gets crowded mainly during weekends..try surfing it right after sunrise and if your lucky ul be the only one there..its starts getting crowded by about 9o'clock.. le morne spot which is called oneye is in the south..it is a 15minute paddle to the reef..the wind there always blows offshore ..so all you need there is the swell.which is mainly present......the waves usually dont get much bigger than 6ft..so a short board will do.wetsuits are out of the questiuon..water is warm all year round. doinky69@hotmail.com

Hello, I am Alex from Brazil and I am going to Mauritius in next November 11th. Would be great to know the surfing conditions at this time of the year, as well as the best surf spots, where to stay (with wife), etc...Is the swell good in November? If someone coming down to Brazil let me know and we can give you some cool tips as well!

thanks brothers & sisters!
