I need to know where i can find a dissent place to buy a surfboard along the pacific coast of mexico. How much a new one is supposed to cost? I also want to know if there is a local brand that is considered to be a good shaping brand for shortboards. Please help me, that's my first time in mexico...

Elad, in case you are looking for a surfboard near Puerto Escondido, there is a pretty good store in Zicatela beach called "360 Surf Shop". Their prices for renting a board are not that cheap, but they will help you with getting the one that fits you. Cant realy help you with the local brand thing, because at the time I was there I had my own board from the U.S.. Maybe someone local can help you with the prices of new and used boards.

go to puerto escondido... ask for miguel "magic hands" ramirez... he's a very well known shaper and local he'll even let you borrow boards for you to try before you buy.. or buy it and the trade if it doesn't work for you.. peace
