I spend a couple of days each winter and summer at Punta Cabras. Camp right there as the others do. In the winter I am alsmost always there by myself and in the summer there are often a few other campers. I have had it to myself mid-week in the summer, which is great when there is a swell running. Bring a spare tire and get the out if you have a heavy rain. There are a few locals that will run into the town Erendira for you to get supplies/firewood/beer/food. Expect them to be gone for a couple of hours and tip them well if you use them, they are honest. I usually give them a five to ten dollar tip and I give them my recyclables when I leave. Drunk gringo americanos are greatest danger.
