I live in a place called manzanillo. It is like 4 hours from PV. The waves are pretty rad right now. Me and some mates got some wicked nice footage of us surfing the other day. Also, if you don't mind and extra hour, there is a place called Michoacan where the waves are SO nice. Reminds me of pipe line... haha no not pipe line but pretty close.

Sorry ... you couldnt have timed it worse. Pretty flat that time of year! There are a couple of spots just to the north of vallarta, by about 20kms, but dont remember the names ... funky little town up there, good to stay in (Las Salinas?). The paragliding is good though! There is a cool little town to the south of vallarta .. you can only get to it by boat ... excellent beach parties populted by a srange little community all on the run from something!

Marcel, you don't have to go 4 hours to catch good waves around PV. San Pancho, Sayulita is 30 min north of PV you can rent a car or take a bus, buses are way cheap. I dont know what the conditions are right now but you should look into it.
