I would also like to surf the Tampico/Vera Cruz area.
Let me know what you come up with.
I drove a boat thru the area, in Feb. 20 yrs. ago. The surf looked really nice. Also, my brother in law surfed Tuxpan one winter and caught it good.
let me know if hear anything.
Mike in the Galveston Bay area.

I lived/worked in tampico for 3 years back in 1996. I surfed the jetties in tampico, Veracruz - across the channel and Altamira. All very good. depends on the swell, but all are at the apex of the Gulf and catch any swell.
The locals are nice, but as always, be respectful and courteous. I still have frinds in Tampico (one friend runs the adnenture sports races in the area). I used to surf in Galveston, Matagorda and Surfside.
