Is it possible to walk to Bonfil from the Mayan Palace hotel? We'll be staying in Acapulco, but can catch a bus to Mayan Palace and really want to rent a board and do some surfing.

The only surf shop in the area is Piquant in Acapulco. The owner is Antonio Diaz, he is bilingual and provides an awesome guide service. He also owns the shop. Basically the next closet shop is not in driving distance. As an avid surf traveler i am very, very glad I hired Antonio as a guide. The locals are friendly, but you have to park in the middle of nowhere (chickens, stay dogs, campfires), so it was nice to have a friendly ride and safe parking spot. Hope this helps.
