located inside a luxurious residential development within a gated community, lies the long lost fabled Mexican Malibu Over a long rock slab that provides the perfect bottom that creates a perfect wave. An “A” frame peak whose right looks unmakeable and peels perfectly. The left, a challenging tube, that is best on the incoming tides good enough to please the most demanding surf experts, whether they favor long or short boards. This ideal spot breaks consistently on all directions but excels on a South West swell.

you can get in just down the road from palladium vallarta. or even just walk down through palladium. seen a few people do it while i was there. i was talking toa few of the guys there, and they said in june it goes off on punta burros, it was awesome while i was there in december, sayulita was great too and thats a 15-20 minute drive north of there

Stayed in the area for 10 days in october...... Burros never got over thigh high......Sayalita was waist high at the most.... Even made the 1-1/2 hour walk up the point to Punta Mita for waist high (and smaller) waves.
These spots have great potential ... and all the locals i met told me that it really does get good....and it may have just been a lul in the swell, but I left the area disappointed in the surf.
I ended up packing up and heading south to the Colima area and scored chest to head + waves the remainer of the 2 month trip.

Does the Sayulita/Punta Mita area pick up a lot of West/Northwest swell during the winter months? Gotta figure out a way to get out of the cold...
