do you have an idea of where you want to go in mexico.  if you want a really good time, nice people good bars and somewhere central to a whole wack of spots,  Go to the Palladium Vallarta, 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.  its right infront of Burros,  a nice right hander with an alright left at times,   its 20 minutes from sayulita as well which gets a different swell. as well as Punta mita. there is another place called sanfransico 20 minutes north of sayulita.  everything is nice and close.   you can do all inclusive at palladium too, so it makes eating awesome.

we are at burros right now. gentle and fun and waist high with good form and not too bad with locals. BUT we got terribly bit by what are called 'swimmers itch', a flatworm larvae that burrows into your skin and then dies.  severe severe itching for several days and lasts a week. looks like we have horrible measles.  not much fun.  and....last week they had lots of jellyfish.  BUT it is said this is not the norm!
