Personally my favorate coastline is the area near Mazatlan.
There are about 25 sick breaks. endless points, rivermouths, and some sick reefs. My favorite standup barrel is a place called Shelby's but mostly only the locals surf it.
its also called "Junior Puerto." and I'm telling you this coast is paradise. they post pics at eastpacsurf.com, where they have guides and boat trips.
Go on one of their boat trips!!
Cali surfers drive right on by and never even stop to get some on the way down south. Good luck.

Go to Cabo or to avoid the crowds go to Punta Abreojos or Mazatlan for summer and early fall because they get a combination of hurricane surf and southern hemi swells.
Winter go to the Central Coast of Baja or Salulita because they get north and west swells. Costa Rica is mostly a bunch of vegans and lesbian feminists who need to shave their armpits. Spots are getting very crowed.
