Are there any cheap places to stay in Zihautanejo/Ixtapa?!?!« on: April 25 2008 17:04:00 »
My buddies and I wanna take an epic budget surf trip to zihuatanejo but no matter how many hours i spend researching on the internet I can not for the life of me find any hint of cheap places near a break in zihua or ixtapa. I'm talking like what you should be payin' for a hostel in mexico, roughly <15 bucks a night or campgrounds. Any help from past travelers or someone in the know would be greatly appreciated, we're desperate. Thanks :)

Hi, I live here, and the best places around here for surf, its in Playa Linda, infront of the beach theres a Trailer Park, but just if your bring some stuff for camping i reccomend that., if not, i can tell you that the best choice its to -spent night- in Zihuatanejo, downtown, because its the cheapper way to stay here., and.., for sure, how long are you plaining to stay here? i can rent you a small room, i got 3 rooms in my house, hahaha., ok, send me an e-mail if you wanna get more info., by the way, i leave in zihuatanejo. very close to ixtapa., in the weekends i can take you to some hot spots, near the area., see yah.

just to the right of baja, we have the safest beaches on a long stretch of mexican coastline with over 180 miles of empty points, reefs and rivermouths that fill in with incredible surf...
the safest, family-friendly zone you will find anywhere south of the border... and investment has been pouring in from all over the world, and the government here has a very solid infrastructure investment plan to make sure sinaloa and mazatlan will never become another "baja."
