surfing in/around the Mayan Riviera?

Does anyone happen to know of any surfable spots within the general vicinity of the Mayan Riviera?  I'm going there in a week till the end of August

Hello,  I was wondering the same thing about surfing in the Yucatan. I hope you had a nice trip and if you have any information on the surf in that area I'd love to hear it. We are going in Oct.

Sorry guys, the Yucatan channel has no swell activity for surfing. Only storm events. Surfing in southeastern mexico ends at Chiapas... Yucatan is a very wide bedrock peninsula in which waves shoal miles away and thus no wave energy on the sandy beaches.
