Planning a trip soon to Sayulita.  I am travelling alone and would like to find a cool place to styy where I can easily meet people and have a safe stay.  Any suggestions?

Well I'm planning on heading over http://www.sinaloasurfschool.com/ or SurfariMex.com. Both spots have sweet deals. Hope this helps

I'm also a female surfer and have been to Sayulita alone before, in fact I'm going there (also solo) in a couple of weeks. If you speak Spanish and feel comfortable arriving without a place to stay you can find some great deals on apartment style lodging (with a kitchen, etc.) just by showing up and asking around. If you want to go a little swankier, I have some friends that really like Villa Amor.

(Semana Santa will be over next weekend so there will be plenty of places available and MUCH fewer national tourists. I'm banking on this since I won't book beforehand!)

We just stayed at Casa Mariposa.  A batch of girls are staying at this Casa and they probably have room for one more.  This is a very nice casa, and very reasonable.  We got a 2 bedroom for $55/night.  Ideally located near main street and two blocks off the ocean.
