Are there swells during the summer in sayulita?

« on: April 22 2009 10:04:00 »

I'm planning on going to sayulita this summer during july/august but I only want to go if there are some good swells. I'm not looking for huge waves but not baby ones either. Thanks.

there are, but it needs to have a lot of west in the swell.  Or, big south swells will wrap around puta mita, but it is really not as good as many other places in Mex.

Not really we went last year in August and search for waves and we were pretty sad.No waves! The Americans that live in Sayulita are rude but the locals were great!

Usually there are swells during the summer, have you heard of San Pancho ? there is a nice hotel 3 blocks from the beach called hotel cielo rojo, they offer special rates for surfers during summer, san pancho has a great uncrowded beach break that usually gets better when it starts raining and the river goes out creating sand bars, by the way this place is jus 5 minutes north of sayulita.

have a great vacation
