How much is for a surfboard? I ll arrive in Mexico City and from there I m gonna travel to the west coast.
Are there a lot of surfshop in Mexico? In Mexico City?
Where is the best to get one?
It d be best to buy some used one, probably fish...

I would recommend (if you plan on purchasing) a surfboard near the coast. I live onsite and run a surf hostel in Troncones, Mexico (Guerrero State, Near salidita, the ranch, Palo Alto, and many other amazing surf spots. There is a great shaper here in troncones, a longboard goes for about $800 USD and he can custom paint, or custom sizing. I don't know how to contact him except for in person, however I would be more then happy to run down and talk to him if you have specs. Let me know if I can help.

hey dude, if you know youre gonna get to mexico city and you know the type of thing youre going for id get one delivered to your hostel for your arrival... have a little look on here http://www.odyboards.com/ or here http://www.twenga.com/ for the more general kit stuff. that way you know you can shop around for good price (800USD sounds like ALOT to me) and you know itl be delivered safe cos there always somone at the hostel front desk...
ps; let me recommened puerto escondido... surf is alright but the place is amazing (and there is better surf a cove or 2 over that i cant remember the name of but everyone will know) good luck
