Salina Cruz, Mex (March 2011)
This trip has been a very nice experience
I had a very nice experience with surfinders (surfindersholidays.com) during my stay there!!
Very likeable surf guides, good organization, choice of surf spot 13+, the guides helped me to improve greatly and had great fun doing it, very good local knowledge at surf breaks, conditions and general knowledg, the tour improved my surfing, the best waves of our lives, definitely think about doing this again in the future.
Excellent. I highly recommend this service!

I dont know if the above comment is spam or not. Bottom line is there are some rad breaks in the Salina Cruz region for sure. Hacing been a few times I can tell you that the local surf camps like to try and run things, but you dont need them to find the waves.
Some of the spots down there are easy to get to, others not so much. I bought a copy of this mainland mexico surf guide and it was pretty legit. It doesn't have all the spots in Salina, but it does get you on the right track.
Found it on Amazon- http://www.amazon.com/Knowledge-Guides-Presents-Mainland-Mexico/dp/0983978808/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1320377413&sr=8-5
