Best spot to surf is Taghazout, north of Agadir. Distance from Agadir to Marrakech is about 303 km = 188 miles. The Agadir Bay itself is too quiet for surfing. If you need advice on individual arrangements (lodging, car rental, whatever), feel free to contact me, I'm a certified Morocco travel expert ;-)

From the US, now living in Spain. Will be down that way in mid-January for as long as the weather and surf are decent.
I have a Volkswagen camper, but wish to stay with normal accomodation-after a few days in the van, time for a change.
If you have the time, let me know and I know the value of someone who is local-it saves time and ususlly money, too!

hi there. there are 8 of us going in january. we are flying to marrakesh and thinking of staying in the surfmaroc apartments. what would your advice be about traveling from marrakesh to agadir. our flight home is at 11.45 am which would make our arrival at the airport around 8.30am. would buses run at night or shall we travel to marrakesh the day before? any other advice would be great! thanks jon

check for africa extrem Appartments, the transfer from marrakech is organised for 40£/ person return, and i think that they are much cheaper as i only paid 40 euros/night in a very good appartment over looking anchor point. and it has 4 real beds with internet connection and all amenities.

I'll pay for your accom in between and fuel for the priviledge of jumping in your motor.Email if interested, if not enjoy your trip!Ant

hey Claudia..i have just done that trip with my g/f in october and it was pretty simple ..go to supratours bus station in Marakech..just get a petit cab there.. they will know where it is as its the main tourist bus company..trip is about 8 uk pounds return and takes 3 hrs with 1 food stop halfway..you can find accomodation at Essouiria in the medina by the seafront..the supratours bus stop is next to the medina..so just walk in and look for riad signs and bargin as its the off season..we got a great place for 15 pounds a night for both of us..as for surfing u can ask around or find someone on here to show you where..any more questions let me know..Elky gold coast qld australia
