acommodation and car hire?

« on: September 03 2005 14:09:00 »

Anyone recommend a place to stay in Taghazoute which is cheaper than the surf camps but still of a good quality?
Also, what car company would anyone suggest from agadir?

There are loads of independant car hire companies in Agadir.  I would suggest not using recognised places like Budget/Europcar etc.  Just go into a couple of the local guys - you can find them easy enough on the main street a couple of blocks back from the beach front - and haggle.  Their main season for tourists is summer and as it starts to get quieter so you can get better deals.  Play them off against each other and dont be afraid to walk out the store.

As for Taghazoute, I lost the contact details I had, but if you drive in there you should be able to find something pretty easy.  The local surf kids are extremely friendly and helpful so just ask someone.  I am sure it will be cheaper than if you pre-book.
